Looking To Train Your Whole Team?

The course features an in-depth look at the five CompTIA Network+ domains (Network Concepts, Infrastructure, Network Operations, Network Security, and Network Troubleshooting & Tools) that largely make up the N10-007 exam. We focus on ensuring that you have the skills and knowledge to troubleshoot, configure, and manage common network devices; establish basic network connectivity; understand and maintain network documentation; identify network limitations and weaknesses; and implement network security, standards, and protocols.

While there aren’t any prerequisites to take the CompTIA Network+ training course itself, it is recommended that course attendees have CompTIA A+ certification or equivalent, as well as a minimum of 9 months network experience.

It’s a three-day class.

A few days before class, you will receive an email with details on how to access our virtual training room, and physical courseware will be delivered to your shipping address.

Our virtual classes are instructed in a way that mirrors the experience you would get from an in-person course. As such, we believe in and use lots of interactive learning techniques with no more than 20 minutes of lecture at a time. That way, students remain fully engaged and the information sticks! Our virtual training courses are packed with interactive whiteboards, breakout rooms, virtual sticky note walls, and more to help ensure your success on the exam.

Individuals who hold the PMP certification will earn 24 PDUs through the course.

You’ll get a course book, practice exams, and a CompTIA Network+ exam voucher. Of course, your tuition also includes priceless group activities, as well as discussions and bagels.

Short answer: Yes. CompTIA Network+ certification will qualify you for IAT Level 1. If you’d like more information on DoD 8570 and the various training options for compliance, check out our DoD 8570 overview.

Our CompTIA Network+ training course is designed for computer technicians, IS consultants, systems engineers, and network analysts wanting to sharpen their network skills and knowledge. That said, it’s a good course for anyone interested in learning more about the five domains, sitting for the CompTIA Network+ exam, and/or satisfying the DoD 8140/8570 training requirements.

The CompTIA Network+ exam consists of a maximum of 90 multiple choice, drag and drop and performance-based questions, to be completed within 90 minutes. A passing score is 720 or higher (on a scale of 100 – 900). The exam covers networking concepts, technologies and infrastructure, as well as security, cloud computing best practices, and newer hardware and virtualization techniques.

You’ll receive an exam voucher from your instructor while you’re in class. You’ll use that voucher to sit for the exam at a PSI testing center. You’ll take the exam on a computer (not paper), and you’ll see immediately whether you passed or failed, though you won’t get your exact score until a week or so later. If you pass, you’ll get instructions on what to do next.

Your CompTIA Network+ certification is good for three years from the date you pass the exam. You can extend your certification in three-year intervals through continuing education or certification-specific activities and training.

This component of the CompTIA Network+ training course focuses on detailing the purpose of a variety of networking concepts and how to implement them appropriately.

In this session, you’ll learn how to determine and explain appropriate cabling, device and storage technologies.

This domain of the CompTIA Network+ training covers managing networks using best practices, determining policies, and ensuring business continuity.

In this session, we’ll cover physical security and common attacks, while securing wired and wireless networks.

You’ll learn network troubleshooting methodologies, and the appropriate tools to support connectivity and performance.

Why Beyond20

How We Teach

People learn differently, so we use a variety of methods to teach concepts throughout the course. In addition to exam preparation and practice quizzes, you'll engage in round-table discussions, group exercises, and games designed to give practical context to the concepts. We take this approach not only because it's more interesting and fun than simply memorizing vocabulary, but because it works.

All of our instructors are experienced practitioners with real world cyber security expertise. (Real experience, too. Like, former-CIO-level experience.)

We're a US-based organization with offices in DC, Phoenix, and San Diego.

Industry-Leading Course Materials

All of our courseware is reviewed multiple times a year to ensure it's up to date, in line with best practice standards, and effective! We incorporate feedback from students to constantly improve our course books, in-class activities, and (sorry) homework. The goal is to provide you with the tools to not only get you through class and pass the exam, but also to have a reliable reference when you get back to the office.

We don't just teach to the exam (though we certainly do that), we also give you practical and personalized tools you can take back to work.

We're a Registered Education Provider with PMI, so if you're PMP Certified, the course will earn you PDUs!
