Our CompTIA CASP+ bootcamp provides in-depth knowledge on the five domains (Risk Management, Enterprise Security Architecture, Enterprise Security Operations, Technical Integration of Enterprise Security, and Research, Development & Collaboration) that largely make up the CAS-003 certification exam.

While there aren’t any prerequisites to take the CompTIA CASP+ training course itself, it is recommended that attendees have a minimum of 10 years IT administration experience with a focus on IT security, as well as at least 5 years of hands-on technical security experience.

It’s a five-day bootcamp course.

A few days before class, you will receive an email with details on how to access our virtual training room, and physical courseware will be delivered to your shipping address.

Our virtual classes are instructed in a way that mirrors the experience you would get from an in-person course. As such, we believe in and use lots of interactive learning techniques with no more than 20 minutes of lecture at a time. That way, students remain fully engaged and the information sticks! Our virtual training courses are packed with interactive whiteboards, breakout rooms, virtual sticky note walls, and more to help ensure your success on the exam.

Individuals who hold the PMP certification will earn 40 PDUs through the course.

You’ll get a course book, practice CompTIA CASP+ exam questions, and an exam voucher. Of course, your tuition also includes priceless group activities, as well as discussions and bagels.

Short answer: Yes. CompTIA CASP+ certification will qualify you for IAT Level 3. If you’d like more information on DoD 8570 and the various training options for compliance, check out our DoD 8570 overview.

Our CompTIA CASP+ bootcamp is designed for technical professionals that want to remain engaged in the technical side of cybersecurity such as Security Architects, Application Security Engineers, Technical Lead Analysts or Security Engineers, rather than strictly focusing on management. That said, it’s a good course for anyone interested in learning more about the five domains, sitting for the CompTIA CASP exam, and/or satisfying the DoD 8140/8570 training requirements.

The CompTIA CASP+ certification exam consists of a maximum of 90 multiple choice and performance-based questions, to be completed within 165 minutes. The exam is pass/fail only, no scores are provided. The examination covers the technical knowledge and skills required to be able to conceptualize, engineer, integrate, and implement secure solutions across complex environments to support a resilient enterprise.

You’ll receive an exam voucher from your instructor while you’re in class. You’ll use that voucher to sit for the exam at a PSI testing center. You’ll take the exam on a computer (not paper), and you’ll see immediately whether you passed or failed. If you pass, you’ll get instructions on what to do next.

Your CompTIA CASP+ certification is good for three years from the date you pass the exam. You can extend your certification in three-year intervals through continuing education or certification-specific activities and training.

This session of our CompTIA CASP training focuses on analyzing the security risks and frameworks of specific industry threats, as well as organizational requirements, and the execution of risk mitigation strategies.

The focus of this domain is on the integration of network and security components, and implementing security controls for host, mobile, and small form factor devices.

You’ll learn to implement incident response and recovery procedures, as well as how to use the most appropriate tools to conduct security assessments.

This component of the CompTIA CASP training includes using on-premise, cloud, and virtualization technologies to integrate hosts, storage, networks, and applications into a secure enterprise architecture.

You’ll apply research methods to determine industry trends and their impact to the enterprise.

Why Beyond20

How We Teach

People learn differently, so we use a variety of methods to teach concepts throughout the course. In addition to exam preparation and practice quizzes, you'll engage in round-table discussions, group exercises, and games designed to give practical context to the concepts. We take this approach not only because it's more interesting and fun than simply memorizing vocabulary, but because it works.

All of our instructors are experienced practitioners with real world cyber security expertise. (Real experience, too. Like, former-CIO-level experience.)

We're a US-based organization with offices in DC, Phoenix, and San Diego.

Industry-Leading Course Materials

All of our courseware is reviewed multiple times a year to ensure it's up to date, in line with best practice standards, and effective! We incorporate feedback from students to constantly improve our course books, in-class activities, and (sorry) homework. The goal is to provide you with the tools to not only get you through class and pass the exam, but also to have a reliable reference when you get back to the office.

We don't just teach to the exam (though we certainly do that), we also give you practical and personalized tools you can take back to work.

We're a Registered Education Provider with PMI, so if you're PMP Certified, the course will earn you PDUs!
