Erika Flora, PgMP, PMP, PRINCE2, CSP, ITIL Expert

President

Erika Flora started her career as a Microbiologist turned Project Manager and has always had a passion for improving how companies manage work and serve their customers. In 2006, she started BEYOND20, a consulting and training firm built on expertise in IT Service Management, Cloud Services, and Project Management. Since that time, BEYOND20 has grown to include offices in Washington DC, San Diego, and Phoenix. BEYOND20 customers span 28 countries on 5 continents, and over 25% of Fortune 100 companies work with BEYOND20 to support their process improvement initiatives. BEYOND20 is proud to be a DBE certified woman-owned, minority-owned small business.

Through the company's growth, Erika has given back to the community as an adjunct professor of Project Management at San Diego State University (SDSU) as well as a board member and volunteer with a number of professional and charitable organizations. She holds a Masters Degree from the University of Florida (Go Gators!) and is a skilled writer, blogger, and presenter on a variety of technical and business topics. When she is not at work, Erika and her husband race triathlons.

Brian Flora, CSM, ITIL Expert

As a pioneer in internet based commerce, Brian Flora began his career in IT by founding Cyclepath.com in 1995 while still in college at Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa. As one of the first eCommerce retail businesses, Cyclepath sold bicycles and equipment online and shipped to a global customer base.

Brian later went on to work for other internet startups, including GoDaddy.com. As System Architect and IT Director, he managed the delivery of 24x7 high availability, mission critical IT services during GoDaddy’s phenomenal growth from 28 employees to over 2000 in less than 4 years.

In 2006, Brian joined BEYOND20 and has since helped hundreds of organizations across industries and sectors manage complex infrastructure through effective processes. He is a frequent columnist for CIO magazine as well as a popular speaker and blogger. Brian was a featured speaker at the itSMf National Conference in September, 2010 where he delivered a highly rated session on IT Service Strategy entitled “Strategy Maps: Building a Balanced Scorecard that Works”.

Brian is the lead ITIL and ITSM curriculum developer at BEYOND20. He is a certified ITIL Expert, ISO/IEC 20000 consultant, Certified Scrum Master, and APMG accredited Master ITSM Instructor. He has trained hundreds of students on 4 continents in ITIL and ISO 20k and has a first time ITIL Foundations exam pass rate above 99%.

Brian is a member of the MIT Enterprise Forum and was a founding member of the International Institute for Business Analysis (IIBA) chapter in San Diego. Brian actively competes in endurance sports and will be completing his second Ironman Triathlon in 2016.
