West Coast ITSM Practice Lead

Beyond20 is seeking an experienced consultant to lead our growing west coast IT Service Management practice based in San Diego. This position will report directly to the Managing Director and Principal but will work with a significant degree of autonomy.

The qualified candidate will have extensive experience performing leadership roles in high availability, mission critical IT environments. Experience working with and implementing ITIL based processes is required. PMP®, Six Sigma, ISO/IEC 20000, and ITIL® v3 Expert certifications are highly desirable, and experience implementing ITSM tool suites (Remedy, HP, etc.) is a plus. A clear understanding of IT from a business perspective is a must, as the position requires the ability to influence stakeholders in order to manage client engagements to successful completion.

The position will require some travel (< 25% outside of Southern California).

  • Perform onsite and offsite ITSM consulting engagements for Beyond20 customers. Consulting engagements include but are not limited to the following:
    • ITSM Maturity Assessments
    • ITSM Project / Program Management
    • ITSM Tool Implementation and Configuration
    • Implementation of custom dashboards, reporting, and metrics
    • Staff training on ITSM tools and ITIL Processes
    • ITIL / ITSM Process Design / Improvement
  • Recruit, lead and mentor additional west coast consultants as our team grows
  • Lead ITIL training courses, onsite and offsite
  • Serve as a Beyond20 ITSM evangelist and “Thought Leader”:
    • Write articles and whitepapers
    • Perform speaking engagements on ITSM and Project Management topics
    • Attend professional organization meetings and conferences (PMI, itSMF, NDIA etc)
    • Participate in Linked-in groups and discussion forums on relevant topics
  • Identify and assist with development of new business opportunities (training engagements and professional services)
  • Assist with proposal writing, respond to RFPs and RFQs as needed
  • Assist with development of new training products and materials
  • Assist with operational / administrative activities as needed
