Certified ScrumMaster (CSM)
 
Q:  Does this class include the exam? 
A:  Yes, the price of the class includes a CSM Assessment, which is delivered via   email after class by the Scrum Alliance.
 
Q:  What happens if I don’t pass the exam? 
A:  We guarantee you’ll pass and will pay for any exam retakes as long as you were present and engaged for the entirety of class.
 
Q:  How many days is this course?
A:  CSM is 2 days in length.
 
Q:  What prerequisites do I need to attend this class? 
A:  Some familiarity with Agile, Scrum, or software development is helpful but not required.
 
Q:  What is the difference between the CSM and the PMI-ACP credentials?
A:  There are more than 300,000 people who hold the CSM credential but only a few hundred with the PMI-ACP credential, making CSM more widely recognized by employers/agencies. CSM is our most popular class. It’s great, too – very interactive.
 
Q:  How many PDUs (Professional Development Units) is this course? 
A:  Individuals who hold the PMP Certification will receive 16 PDUs through the course.
 
Q:  What do I receive with the class? 
A:  The course includes a workbook (provided on the first day of class) and handouts. The exam is also included.

A:  No, your CSM certification will not need to be renewed.

 
Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO)
 
Q:  Does this class include the exam? 
A:  Unlike Certified ScrumMaster, CSPO doesn't require an exam for certification. Just put in your 16 hours of class with one of our Certified Scrum Trainers and you're good to go!
 
Q:  How many days is this course?
A:  CSPO is 2 days in length.
 
Q:  What prerequisites do I need to attend this class? 
A:  We recommend students hold the CSM certification or have experience working in a CSPO/Agile/Scrum capacity for at least two years prior to taking the course.
 
Q:  How many PDUs (Professional Development Units) is this course? 
A:  Individuals who hold the PMP Certification will receive 16 PDUs through the course.
 
Q:  What do I receive with the class? 
A:  The course includes a workbook (provided on the first day of class) and handouts.

Q:  What is COBIT?
A:  It’s an IT Governance control framework and maturity model. COBIT’s purpose is to align IT resources with an enterprise’s business objectives so services and information, when delivered, meet quality, fiduciary, and security needs.
 
Q:  Is it an acronym? What does it stand for?
A:  Why, yes it is! COBIT stands for Control Objectives for Information and Related Technology.
 
Q:  Are there any prerequisites for taking the COBIT Foundations class? 
A:  No, though some familiarity with Information Technology is a plus. 
 
Q:  How many days is the class?
A:  It’s a 3-day course.
 
Q:  How many PDUs (Professional Development Units) will I earn for this class?
A:  Individuals who hold the PMP certification will earn 21 PDUs through this course.
 
Q:  What’s included with the course? 
A:  All course materials – a course workbook, exercises, case study, practice questions, and certification exam – are included.

A:  The certification exam is included as part of the class - taken on the afternoon of the third day.

A:  The exam is comprised of 40 questions. A score of 70% or better is required to pass the exam.

Q:  What times do the classes run?
A:  Class starts promptly at 8:30AM (for most classes – sometimes we can get away with 9 but we’ll let you know if that's the case) and ends at approximately 5:00PM.
 
Q:  How do I pay for a course?
A:  There are two ways to pay for a course: You can add courses to your cart and checkout online via credit card, or give us a call at (866) 856-3117 and we’ll process a credit card transaction over the phone for you.
 
Q:  How do I reschedule/cancel a course?
A:  You have one year from your course start date to transfer to any other class, or send someone else in your place.
 
Q:  Do you offer on-site classes?
A:  Yes! We generally run them for classes of 6 or more. Give us a call and we’ll talk logistics.
 
Q:  Do you offer online classes?

A:  The course is self-paced and runs about 18 hours in length.
 
Q:  How many PDUs (Professional Development Units) will I earn for this class? 
A:  Individuals who hold the PMP certification will earn 18 PDUs through the course.
 
Q:  How many times can I watch the course?
A:  You will have access to the course material for six months, and may watch it as many times as you’d like.
 
Q:  What’s included with the course? 
A:  The online course and practice questions are included. The course can be purchased with or without the certification exam.
 
Q:  How do I get certified?
A:  Once you are ready to take the exam, just let us know and we’ll get you set up with an online proctor.

A:  You will have one hour to complete the closed-book exam. There are 40 questions, and you’ll need to get 26 correct (65%) to pass.

Q:  Should I take a Capability course?
A:  If you are looking to gain intense, specialized, process-level knowledge in one or more process, with focus on the day-to-day execution of ITIL practices, the Capability modules will be of interest to you
 
Q:  What’s included with the course? 
A:  All course materials – a course workbook, exercises, case study, practice questions, and the certification exam – are included.
 
Q:  How do I get certified? 
A:  The certification exam is included as part of the class, to be taken the afternoon of the fourth day.
 
Q:  What’s the format of the exam? 
A:  The 1½-hour exam is made up of eight multiple choice, scenario-based, gradient-scored questions. Each question will have 4 possible answers, one worth 5 marks, one worth 3 marks, one worth 1 mark, and a “distracter” worth zero marks. You’ll need to score a 28/40 (70%) to pass the exam. Students who pass will receive certification and four points toward becoming ITIL Expert certified.

Q:  What is MALC? 
A:  Managing Across the Lifecycle is a capstone module aimed at those candidates interested in achieving ITIL Expert certification, for which MALC is a key requirement.
 
Q:  Are there any prerequisites for taking MALC? 
A:  Yes, you must have a total of 17 credits from other ITIL courses to take MALC. This includes the two credits from ITIL Foundation certification, plus a minimum of 15 credits from ITIL Intermediate or other appropriate ITIL certifications.
 
Q:  How many days is the class? 
A:  MALC is four days in length.
 
Q:  How many PDUs (Professional Development Units) will I earn for this class? 
A:  Individuals who hold the PMP certification will receive 40 PDUs through the course.
 
Q:  Why should I take MALC? 
A:  The learning outcomes of the MALC module are intended to bring students from ITIL content knowledge to ITIL content application and integration knowledge, and to provide skills that can be used in the workplace in a tangible way.
 
Q:  What’s included with the course? 
A:  All course materials – a course workbook, exercises, case study, practice questions, and the certification exam – are included.
 
Q:  How do I get certified? 
A:  The certification exam is included as part of the class, to be taken the afternoon of the fourth day.
 
Q:  What’s the format of the exam? 
A:  The 2-hour exam includes ten multiple choice, gradient-scored questions based upon a single case study, issued in advance, with additional short scenarios which provide supplementary context for each question. Each question will have four possible answers: one worth five marks, one worth three marks, one worth one mark, and one “distracter” worth zero marks. Students must score a 35/50 (70%) correct to pass the exam. Pass the MALC exam automatically achieves ITIL Expert designation.
