Course Description
Control Objectives for Information and Related Technology (CobiT) is an IT Governance,
control framework and maturity model. CobiT’s purpose is to align IT resources with an enterprise’s business objectives
so services and information, when delivered, meet quality, fiduciary and security needs.
CobiT helps meet the multiple needs of
management by bridging the gaps between business risks, control needs and technical issues. It provides good practices
across a domain and process framework and presents activities in a manageable and logical structure.
What You Can Expect
The IT Governance Foundation based on CobiT 4.1 course provides an overview of the main concepts of IT Governance
according to CobiT and how they can be applied. Upon completion of the course, participants will gain an understanding of:
- Key concepts and the differences between Corporate Governance and IT Governance
- Structure and the objectives of CobiT framework
- Concepts and the terminology used in CobiT framework
- Relationships between CobiT and other market practices
- How CobiT can be used as a tool to upgrade activities within the organization
- Existing products offered by ISACA related to CobiT

Your Course of Study
The CobiT Foundations course curriculum features an interactive learning approach, in which participants will simulate
the application of the concepts learned inside the organizational environment through classroom activities.
In addition to exam preparation and practice quizzes, you will actively participate in "round table" style discussions
and group exercises in order to give practical context to classroom concepts. This course will prepare you for success
on the CobiT 4.1 Certification Examination (based on ISACA Guidelines), which is delivered on the final day of
class.
Your Instructor
The course will be facilitated by a Beyond20 Black Belt Instructor with at least 12 years' experience managing
complex IT environments and IT Service Management and Governance Programs. Your ITIL Expert Certified instructor will
serve as a coach - leading discussions, adding real world implementation considerations, and providing practical examples.

Designed for IT professionals and business managers involved or interested in the IT Governance or regulatory domains,
the COBIT / IT Governance Foundations training course provides 21 PDUs for participants who are PMP Certified.
