Account Manager - Washington, DC

Beyond20 is seeking an experienced Account Manager to represent our growing IT Service Management practice. This position will be based in Washington, DC and will report directly to the Managing Director and Principal, but will require a candidate who is able to work with some degree of autonomy.
The qualified candidate will be comfortable in a 100% inside sales "hunter" role, including pipeline generation and management, cold calling, and nurturing
marketing leads. Experience selling SAAS solutions and professional services is a plus.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Held responsible for generating sales pipeline through nurturing and qualifying marketing leads, prospecting, and cold calling
- Selling Beyond20 training and professional services to government and private sector customers via the web or telephone
- Must be comfortable in a 100% inside sales hunter role: Identifying & following up on sales leads, including networking and call campaigns
- Ability to learn, understand, and articulate the full range and benefits of Beyond20 products and services
- Ability to understand customer's industry and core business processes
- Analyze prospects needs and uncover business challenges
Other duties may include:
- Taking on leadership responsibilities for the benefit of sales peers and management, such as program development, meeting coordination, training and mentoring
- Assist with proposal writing, respond to RFPs and RFQs as needed
- Assist with marketing / operational / administrative activities as needed
Preferred Qualifications:
- Two to four years of technology industry sales experience with at least two years of proven track record of quota attainment
- Proficiency in pipeline management and accurate forecasting
- Ability to perform individually and as part of a team environment
- Prefer experience with Salesforce.com or similar CRM applications
- Four-year college degree
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills: ability to talk to C-level audiences
- Effective problem-solving, time, and project management skills
- Proficient in MS Office Suite
- Formal training in consultative selling is an advantage
- Federal, State and Local government industry knowledge an advantage
